Introduction
I am widely educated, with experience in customer- and user-support in different sectors, including socialcare, retail, and startup business-ecosystems.
I am highly proficient in written and spoken English (a native communicator); I write and speak Spanish (castellano) fluently (I lived in Spain for sixteen years); I have a basic understanding of Croatian (my mother’s tongue); and I studied Russian for three years whilst in Spain (but a long time ago, now).
I am now learning Swedish.
My education … and therefore my interests
- I have a UK MA in International Criminal Justice from 2017 (criminology and law), specialising in digital surveillance and in crimes of the powerful;
- a Spanish University Master in Publishing from 2002 (publishing, writing copy, and proofreading which I still deliver on);
- and a UK BA Hons in Film & Literature from 1983.
I therefore have a broad range of transferable skills, and am eager to relocate out of the UK permanently, to maximise the benefit I can obtain from these lived and academic experiences.

Where I move at the moment …
I currently travel between Chester UK and Stockholm Sweden, and I am looking to move permanently to Stockholm. My sister and her family emigrated to Stockholm two years ago and the experience has been absolutely positive.
I first visited over Christmas 2022, and have valued the experience and the society I have seen since then, as I have moved back and forth.

Freelance and contract proofreading of high-level, C-suite sales & marketing documentation created on behalf of technology corporations by the clients I deliver directly to (usually marketing agencies).
This generally involves the delivery of personalised and/or otherwise bespoke communications.
Both brief, quick-hit and lengthy, deeper-impact white-papers (from 5 to 40 pages or more), as well as other documents in various formats (pdf, docx, web, video, etc.), generally in the context of long-term account-based marketing relationships.
High pressure turnaround, and competencies such as accuracy and deep attention to detail.

Event Steward / Traffic Management / Customer safety and security, Stadium TM
Liverpool UK: August 2019 to March 2020
The main roles whilst working for Stadium TM involved supporting Merseyrail on Rail Support, on platform and concourse in various locations, but mainly Liverpool Central Station. In early 2020, 12-hour shifts at James Street, Aintree, etc.
I also worked for Stadium TM at Liverpool Football Club’s Anfield stadium on home matches, including inside-stadium, traffic management, and parking responsibilities. Customer service skillsets used heavily, with both visitors and in collaboration with colleagues and teams from other companies onsite.
Finally, over the Christmas period and its lead-up, I worked long shifts at M&S Cheshire Oaks.
Crowd Safety Steward, Liverpool Football Club
Liverpool UK: November 2016 to March 2018
I worked on the front gate of the Sir Kenny Dalglish Car Park, with other stewards regularly assigned to the area, alongside the company Stadium TM and its own personnel.
It was a customer service, customer safety, and security role, and required the ability to deliver on procedures as well as on a certain degree of discretionary decision-making.
Our main accomplishments were in the fields of fan safety, positive customer touchpoints, and the ongoing assessment of potential security issues in order to provide the maximum levels of security and safety.
Customer Service Advisor, Bank of Scotland Corporate

The role involved primarily combining customer services in electronic and paper-based environments, in the fields of account opening, anti-money laundering, mandates and other documentation requirements.
