Building the FEARless citizen uses what I have called The A.I.M. Proposition:

It aims to regenerate Western democracy by creating a range of tools, processes, legal figures and societal & business approaches that make another invasion of the likes of Russia’s on Ukraine impossible for people like Putin ever to contemplate again.

Background

I’m beginning to pull together documentation I have been producing auto-ethnographically over the past two decades.

The first documents are two recent introductory posts which first appeared on #linkedin, alongside some historical videos I have made in respect of different law-enforcement and security matters, as well as things that right now may not appear to relate very much, yet which even so continue to engage me: are still here when I get up in the mornings.

This isn’t to say they’re the most important matters out there: not even for me. But right now, they stay front-of-my-mind even when I attempt to forget them!

Two introductory posts

Post 1: “Surveillance as an extension of the citizen, that is; no longer of the state” | Top

I’ve been chatting with people and it’s been useful, too.

I now have the title for a new #phd proposal:

“Surveillance and related: a matter of supporting not intruding on the democratic citizen”

It will be #praxis-based, if it gets off the ground. And I would prefer to do it here in #sweden, where the relevant sociolegal, socioeconomic, and still, even, sociopolitical cultures exist. Certainly much more so than in any other country I have recently got to know.

Combining PhD-level research with rapid commercialisation

I also want to set up a #swedish company so that within a year of starting the #phd itself, and being #praxis-based for this reason, a software #ovp will emerge: that is, an #optimumviableproduct. I aim higher always than the #mvp. I always have and will not change now.

The proposed base idea for the #ovp is “The Neo-Terrorism platform for expert humans” I showed the #british about six years ago when they gave me the cold shoulder. You can find this #ovp/#mvp proposal described quite recently on #linkedin here:

Meantime, immediately below is my original blogpost from 2017 re my #ma #dissertation on secular #originalsin: that is, essentially, the #panopticon of #bentham’s time, reconverted into a deliberately and, to my mind, hugely and excessively (unnecessarily, too) intrusive 21st century digital #surveillance regime:

What I would like to say in all of this is that to bring governors and governed together in seamless ways in the future, so that both are eager to be on the same sides of #crimefighting, we have to create a #surveillance/#sousveillance compact of societal dimensions which ensures we want to support each other, never intrude again.

Surveillance as an extension of the citizen, that is; no longer of the state.

This is the #swedish way already. I would like it to remain like this here into the collective and shared future-present of good governance maintained.

But not only this: I would like, in parallel, to not only be responsible for the #phd in question but also for the #commercialisation of the software, firmware and hardware configurations and architectures which I would desire us to create, as newly conducive to #intuitive thinking and not fatally inhibiting any more of the same:

I’ve had further thoughts on the matter of trust and surveillance, too; as the brain chugged overnight.

What is it to be one’s brother, sister, or any-gender’s keeper but to surveill in one way or the other?

My understanding of the matter comes from the International Criminal Justice Master which i studied from 2016-2017. Here, I attempted to see a different way between the fierce application of #totalsurveillance in my homeland the #uk, on the one hand, and other more mediated ways in an imperfect world where ensuring not only security but also feelings of safety became a goal on the other. This is what i recently discovered to be the “Swedish Way” … it’s enquiring, and unceasing in its attachment to innovate not only beyond the minimum but also for the wider good:

This is all I am attempting to communicate. For us not to be black and white about anything as machines might be … but be capable of terms and actitudes such as mediation, compassion and, indeed, looking out for each other … as the best of humans.
